About Esa Presents: Amandla, Music To The People, Esa says: "It has always been a dream of mine to carefully craft a compilation of the tracks that hold a truly special place in my record box. Not only have these songs featured heavily in my DJ sets around the world, they have also helped me through challenging times and connected me with many wonderfully talented people over the years. Most of these tracks stem from South Africa, where I’ve discovered both legacy artists, who were at the forefront of pioneering musical shifts, and contemporary musicians who are shaping the country’s latest sounds. Yet this journey also connects that part of my music identity to my other sonic revelations around the world, including my projects with Santuri Safari in East Africa, digging Afro-Brazilian gems in Rio and the sounds of the French Antilles and Guadeloupe.
